The iconic 2.55 reissue first got introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in february of 2005. After taking over the fashion house in 1983, Karl created the newer version of the classic flap with the well known CC logo lock. But before this bag came to life, it was the 2.55 that was the most iconic bag from Chanel. Therefore Karl decided to make a reissue model that is made exactly like the one designed by Coco herself in 1955. The 2.55 features a square Mademoiselle Lock on the front and the beautiful chain with no leather interwoven ( as seen on the newer classic flap bags).
